I wanted to celebrate the intricate beauty of roses in this painting. It went through many layers and took over a year to create. You can visibly see the history in this painting as each stage shines through. Initially, the painting was very abstract including paint splatters and drips. Over time I refined the painting and added the roses to turn it into a floral artwork. Small areas of the painting are metallic which shine beautifully when the light hits the painting, illuminating it as a stunning focal point.
