I am inspired by Turner and his love of skies & sunsets, and I wanted to create a dreamy sky using lots of layers of paint. I used a palette knife to create interesting texture that can be seen up close, and I love the intense immersiveness in this painting. This has been painted on a deep edge canvas with painted sides.
